Hexagonal Bars of Aluminium 5086 consist mainly of aluminium alloyed with magnesium, manganese, and chromium, having good corrosion resistance and high strength. The alloy has a tensile strength of approximately 250–350 MPa and yield strength of around 150 MPa. The alloy exhibits good weldability, formability, and toughness with stability even in extreme conditions. Although not heat-treatable, Aluminium 5086 can be cold worked to strengthen it.
